Arbor House, a living and learning motherhood community offering long term housing and programs to homeless pregnant women and single-mother families while they pursue goals that lead to self-sufficiency, is joining with Catholic Charities. Catholic Charities’ mission is to provide a variety of services to anyone in need, to advocate justice, human dignity, and quality of life. Programs are available in emergency assistance, poverty reduction, pregnancy, counseling, and adoption.

Merging with Catholic Charities will allow Arbor House to continue its mission and program while gaining management support services. Additional resources will also be available to help maintain the building and property. To assist in making the transition an exciting time for the residents, volunteers from the Queen of Peace Church, Catholic Gators, and the University of Florida joined together to paint bedrooms and to provide new furniture and bedding.

All donated funds designated for Arbor House will be used exclusively to continue the mission and program at Arbor House.
